"Give the gift of a fresh start" - Hygiene for Humanity

Putting together hygiene kits helps us satisfy some of the basic needs for our neighbors experiencing homelessness or displacement. Please join together in this all company event by creating essential hygiene kits using all of your collected donations from the 2019 Toiletry Drive. One kit for one person can change a life.

The goal: Let's all come together to pack 450 basic needs kits (soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion), 100 dental kits (toothbrush, toothpaste, floss or rinse) and 100 "vanity" kits (QTips, wipes, razor, comb, shower cap) during this event being held at HQ on Friday, January 24th from 11:30- 1:00 pm.

Your kits will be distributed to UMOM New Day Centers. UMOM restores hope and rebuilds lives by providing shelter, services and affordable housing for people experiencing homelessness. Housing opportunities and services are provided for families, teens, women, and veterans. But it doesn't end there. Support services include educational services, workforce services, health and wellness, child development center, partnership with Phoenix Children's Hospital, and after school programs. 

Your lunch will be provided after the event by Helpings Cafe, in support of a UMOM job training program. 

I will need a few extra hands for this event. Please contact me if you are interested in helping out either before or during the event.

Please let us know you will be attending by accepting or declining the calendar event when you receive it. This is essential for appropriate planning. All employees are encouraged to attend but reach out to your managers for approval if needed. 

Please note: We've reserved the HQ rooftop for this event due to the anticipated size of the event. There is no rain date planned if we encounter bad weather but there may be a change in location.
