As you know, CUBEX® LLC is an active supporter of the non-profit "Not One More Vet" (NOMV), an organization that aids in the prevention of suicide and promotion of wellness within the veterinary industry. An industry that is at high risk and part of all of our communities, at work as our customers and at home for our pets. 

This year, CUBEX is proud to be a sponsor of NOMV's "Race Around the World 2020" and we want you to step in and join the CUBEX LLC Team! This is a virtual global event to bring awareness and support to the services NOMV offers and allow them grow so they can, in turn, offer more support to the professionals in the veterinary industry.

COVID-19 is creating new needs, while putting enormous financial pressure on all nonprofits. Our local nonprofit community is already reporting significant losses ($36 million and growing) in critical funding due to the cancellation of fundraising events and decreased staff/volunteer capacity amid recent COVID-19 health concerns. The demand for needed services from our nonprofits, however, is likely to increase.

In our ongoing efforts to educate and advocate, we will continue to offer information on various ways you can support your community during this time.  In Arizona, April offers two prime times to give. Arizona Gives Day and the deadline for AZ Charitable Tax Credit.

If we’ve learned anything during the COVID-19 pandemic, it’s that this virus does not limit the spread of care and kindness, it just changes the manner in which we can show it. This is the time to be creative and think outside the box, after all, the virus hasn't stopped the needs in our communities. 

There are so many ways to contribute that don't have to be in person or time consuming. Here are some ideas that can make a positive impact during this time while maintaining the recommended social distancing to flatten the curve. 

During the March Madness NCAA Tournament, CUBEX® will be running a donation drive to help support K2 Adventure Foundation's "K2 Hoops" Program.



Basketball is a daunting sport and typically unavailable to children with disabilities and/or terminal conditions. K2 Adventure Foundation, located in Phoenix, has created a program to bring these kids from the stands onto the court. K2 Hoops is a local program that runs three times a year. 

In our continued efforts to reduce our impact on the environment, CUBEX now partners with Phoenix's Recycled City to step up our office composting while giving back to our community. 

In the past month, we have collected OVER 50 pounds of compostable waste. This consists of mostly things like coffee grounds and fruit waste for a backyard composting system. But, it's time to step it up. Recycled City is a local company that collects commercial and residential waste for composting and turns it into nutrient rich soil. This soil will then be donated to our community gardens to help address the food desert issues in our area:

Every two seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood.

• About one in seven people entering a hospital needs blood. 

• Blood is always needed for treatment of accident victims, cancer patients, hemophiliacs and surgery patients. 

• Blood cannot be manufactured.

• Only 37 percent of our country's population is eligible to give blood, and less than 10 percent of those who can donate actually do donate annually.

CUBEX is proud to again partner with Red Cross Blood Services to support to our community and beyond Wednesday, February 12th 9am-2pm at CUBEX HQ. Our first of four blood drives in 2020.

As the fires continue in Australia and news reports continue to fill minds and thoughts with images and details of the  unrelenting devastation, we can, at times, feel helpless with the unconscionable sum of homes lost, lives lost, firefighters put at risk, animal populations depleted, if not destroyed, and habitat loss, ensuring future animal loss. 

This program is specifically designed for a cross-departmental group of Cubex Employees who voluntarily come together to make an impact in our local community through awarding quarterly Corporate donations, or grants. Our mission is to support our local community through charitable giving to elected non-profits in the Phoenix/Maricopa County area.
