Following the current "People and Pets" Food Drive, it only seemed appropriate to create an event that follows the food donations to the next step in its journey. In this case, our people portion of donations will be taken to St. Mary’s Food Bank here in our own Phoenix backyard.
It doesn’t take much to push a family into hunger. A job loss. An accident. An illness. The people St. Mary's serves come from all walks of life. Hunger has many faces. St. Mary’s Food Bank serves to alleviate hunger through the gathering and distribution of food while encouraging self-sufficiency, collaboration, advocacy and education. St. Mary’s Food Bank is truly a community-based organization.
Serving two-thirds of Arizona’s 15 counties, St. Mary's is committed to volunteerism, building community relationships and improving the quality of life for Arizonans in need.
Sign up as a Cubex Community Builder to pack emergency food boxes with non-perishable items, sort food, or repack bulk produce. Positions include roles such as palletizing the completed boxes, as well as, less strenuous jobs that can be done seated. Limited space is available and fill up quickly so sign up today!
