Electronic Waste and Metal Recycling Program

This year-round program, led by Ryan West, aims to divert e-waste and metals from the landfill to be recycled or refurbished. Currently 20 to 50 million metric tons of e-waste are disposed of worldwide every year. Only 12% of e-wastes is currently recycled. The company we partner with to pickup our E-waste is ER2. They are a local company that also focuses on helping in the community. One of the programs they run from their facility is to collect scraped computers and refurbish them for reuses. They have a program to help get computers to schools, families, and individuals that may not be able to afford a computer otherwise.

The Phasing Out of Single-Use Beverage Containers in Favor of Reusable 

In the United States, the average person uses approximately 167+ disposable plastic water bottles annually. What is not recycled takes over 1000 years to decompose. This makes a good case for looking into alternatives.

Have you, or have you been meaning to, visit the Rio Salado Habitat Restoration Area yet? Enjoy Phoenix's great spring weather by getting outside with your fellow Cubexers, friends, and family to help preserve this urban riparian gem in the desert. 

In partnership with the City of Phoenix, we are excited to announce Cubex's "Going Green in '19" campaign.

By making efforts to make our work space a green space, and in compliance with the City of Phoenix's Green Business Leader Guidelines, we will be reducing our environmental impact one action at at time. 

In this effort, we are looking to build Cubex's first ever "Green Team" of employees to join in this campaign and lead us to the Gold Level of green-ness.
